Good to have you here – in our IT project manager training! Get to know us and the other course participants. Together we'll take a look at the first steps that are required for getting started with your software project. Understanding the context and goals of a project, analysing your stakeholders or the identification of risks, resources and constraints mark some of the first activities.
We will look into defining project requirements and deliverables and their documentation. Learn how to break a project down and how to set up a project space that is easy to access and understand for all stakeholders.

Building on Phase 1 of our Project Manager Training, we will continue with our project process: we will discuss estimation techniques, their implications and why estimates are important. You will look at ways of prioritising and how to set up a high level roadmap.
In the next step we will get more detailed: we will set up a project timeline and learn how to define milestones. Finally, we will look at how to measure success and define useful metrics.

Phase 3 of your project management further training. Now we'll get down to business: learning about agile and waterfall methodologies and when to use them. We will delve into agile principles and the application of Kanban to the work of the development team. You will understand why this means shipping an increment regularly and how to continuously test, learn and improve.
Measuring progress and providing regular status updates are among the key tasks of a project manager. Dealing with conflict, managing scope creep and identifying anti-patterns in the project – sometimes things don't go as planned! We will discuss what can go wrong and how to overcome these obstacles.

The final lap is the hardest? We will look at what the project manager can do to ensure all deliverables are done and the project is ready for release. You will learn how to coordinate a successful launch and ensure a smooth go-live.
After the project is before the project! You will learn what to do in the post-launch phase and how a project goes into continuous development mode.
At the end of this phase, you will ensure that your toolkit and your personal project space template are ready for the next step in your career. You have successfully completed your project management training. Congratulations!
