This year, Pride Month doesn't end in June - because queer lives, joy and resistance deserve more than just one month.
On July 11th, WeAreMarsha in collaboration with YourEqual is taking over Spiced Academy - a coding bootcamp school located in the heart of Berlin´s vibrant Kreuzberg - for our very first summit, Marsha Empowers: Uplifting the Invisible 🌈🏳️⚧️ - continuing the celebration and pushing the conversation forward:
Inspired by the legacy of Marsha P. Johnson (1945–1992), a transgender Black woman and legendary figure in queer rights, Marsha Empowers is a space for TQBIPOC professionals and their allies to connect, get inspired, and uplift one another.
What to expect on the day:
🎙️Panel discussions: Hear from other queer BIPOC leaders across industries sharing their journeys, struggles, challenges, inspiration, and success navigating underrepresented spaces.
📚 Workshops: Get expert guidance on navigating entrepreneurship, career growth, and financial empowerment as a TQBIPOC professional from inspiring queer BIPOC Berlin-based startup founders
💃🏾Join an after evening party called Joy as a Radical Form of Resistance - featuring drinks, delicious snacks and music by the incredibly talented Brazilian DJ, Gloriosa Netto, now residing in Berlin.
Who is this for?

Allyship Tickets
In general, all our events are free of charge. However, this year we’re trying something a little different: we’re introducing an “Allyship ticket.” This optional contribution is a small but meaningful way to support changemaker organizations around the world. For this edition, all proceeds will go to Pajubá Tech—a social-impact startup in Brazil founded by trans developer Luana Maria. This tech bootcamp empowers and uplifts underrepresented communities, especially trans and travesti people, as well as Black and peripheral youth, through education, mentorship, and access to technology. Learning to code changes lives.
About WeAreMarsha: WeAreMarsha is your trusted talent sourcing partner based in Berlin, Germany, helping tech companies of every size attract, source, and hire tech talent across Europe and globally. Our primary focus is on searching and finding tech talent from historically marginalized communities, with a specific focus on LGBTQIA+ BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), though not exclusively.
About Yourequal: Yourequal is a community-led employer-rating platform for marginalized workers that doubles as a consulting practice for committed employers. Yourequal is currently run by a team of volunteers working in their free time to build empowering tools for marginalized groups in the workplace. Like some of the people we aim to serve, we are a mixture of marginalized genders, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, immigrant, parent, and neurodivergent folks who all experienced our own challenges in the workplace.
