Eldcare - Reassurance Through Smarter Family Care Coordination

Eldcare is a product concept I developed to help families coordinate care for elderly loved ones while reducing the uncertainty that many caregivers experience every day. The project started with user research to understand how families currently manage care, where communication breaks down, and what creates the most stress. Through interviews, surveys, and market research, I found that caregivers were not asking for more monitoring or more data. They wanted reassurance. They wanted to know that their loved one was okay, that medication had been taken, and that responsibilities were clearly shared without relying on constant phone calls or messaging apps. Using these insights, I defined the product vision, created user personas and journey maps, prioritized features, and built a product roadmap focused on delivering value in phases. Instead of trying to solve every problem at once, I focused the MVP on four key areas: caregiver reassurance, medication transparency, shared care coordination, and emergency readiness. I also translated the strategy into delivery by creating a backlog in Jira, organizing work into epics and user stories, planning releases, defining OKRs and KPIs, and running usability testing on the interactive prototype. For me, Eldcare was an opportunity to practice the full Product Management process, from understanding user problems to making prioritization decisions, validating assumptions, and planning how a product could grow over time.

Case Study

The goal of Eldcare was to explore how Product Management can improve the experience of family caregivers. Rather than building another health monitoring app, I wanted to create a product that helps families feel more informed, coordinated, and confident while preserving the independence of elderly relatives. Throughout the project, I focused on validating user problems, prioritizing features based on research, and defining measurable success metrics. The objective was not simply to design a prototype, but to demonstrate how research, strategy, prioritization, and Agile delivery work together to shape a meaningful product.
