ESSENTL+

ESSENTL is a platform that transforms complex blood test results into understandable health information, enabling transparent comparisons with various scientific reference systems and providing personalized vitamin and supplement management. The project addresses a core problem: health data is complex because identical lab values can be interpreted differently depending on the reference system used. Research highlights significant user frustration: 78% of respondents felt uninformed after receiving lab reports, 67% had open questions following doctor appointments, 82% found blood values and their meanings difficult to understand, and 65% kept track of their supplements manually. Users frequently seek clear context for their health values. ESSENTL supports users like persona Emily—who wants to track changes, prepare for doctor appointments, and manage medications and supplements safely—without replacing a medical diagnosis. Designed through user interviews, online research, and surveys within a 4-week UX/UI design process using Figma and Miro, the project focuses on key goals: centralizing health data, making reference ranges transparent, enabling comparisons, and assisting in appointment preparation. Guided by core design principles—Making Health Understandable, Trust Through Transparency, and Data-Driven Decisions—ESSENTL incorporates user flows, low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity UI screens, a dedicated design system featuring Inter typography, and interactive prototype videos. Ultimately, the app empowers people to better interpret their personal health metrics and make well-informed health decisions.
