Curriculum
This is what you learn in our Azure Cloud Computing Bootcamp

Laying the foundation
Welcome to your cloud journey! In the first phase, we focus on the essential building blocks of IT — from understanding operating systems and device interfaces to learning how data is stored, accessed, and secured. Alongside this, you’ll get a clear introduction to cloud computing: what it is, how it works, and why it’s become a cornerstone of modern IT infrastructure. This phase prepares you for your first certification, the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), and gets you ready to work confidently in a cloud-based environment.

Learn to build, configure, and manage in the cloud
Time to dive in! In this phase, you’ll learn how to work directly in the Azure environment — creating virtual machines, setting up storage, managing networks, and configuring identity services. Through hands-on labs and guided exercises, you’ll become familiar with core Azure services and get a feel for how real-world cloud infrastructure is set up and maintained. The focus here is learning by doing — so expect to spend time in the portal, running commands, and experimenting.

Go beyond Azure with the tools every cloud professional needs
Cloud jobs often require more than just platform knowledge. This phase gives you a broader cloud-native toolkit: you’ll explore Linux, learn how to navigate the command line, and write your first Bash scripts. We’ll introduce version control with Git and containerisation with Docker — both essential in DevOps environments. These skills complement your Azure learning and prepare you to operate confidently in modern tech teams.

In this phase, you’ll level up your Azure skills to professional-grade. We’ll cover advanced topics like automating deployments with ARM templates, monitoring with Azure Monitor and Application Insights, securing identities, and implementing backup and recovery strategies. All topics are aligned with the AZ-104 exam — and you’ll have the chance to test yourself with practice questions and mock exams. This is your gateway to becoming a certified Azure Administrator.

Apply what you’ve learned and get ready for your next role
Now it’s time to show what you can do. In this final phase, you’ll design and implement a cloud solution in your capstone project, applying everything you’ve learned in a realistic end-to-end scenario. With instructor guidance, you’ll troubleshoot, document, and present your work — building a strong portfolio piece. At the same time, we’ll help you polish your personal toolkit and prepare for your job search. From finalising your certifications to practising how to communicate your skills, this phase sets you up to confidently enter the job market.

Definitely yes – many participants start without an IT background. An Azure Bootcamp is structured to guide you step by step to expertise. Nevertheless, good preparation will help you get off to a great start:
Fundamentals in virtualization or cloud: Learn the basics of VMs vs. containers – for example, on Microsoft Learn or AWS Free Tier Tutorials.
Introductory knowledge of Linux or Windows Server: Proficiently executing simple commands like `ls` or `dir`, as well as navigating a folder system, will make getting started easier.
Scripting skills: A few lines of PowerShell or Bash to create VM instances or write small automations will help you enormously.
Optional, but recommended: Basic knowledge of networks (IP, subnets, firewall basics) and a free account with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud to practice your first steps.
Course duration: 12–16 weeks
Cost: €4,500–€8,000, often eligible for funding through the education grant or education voucher
Career potential: Starting salaries in Germany are typically between €50,000 and €70,000 – with an Azure specialization, you can quickly reach €80,000+.
Your prior knowledge allows you to dive right into the heart of the topics: virtual networks, container services, SQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps concepts – all in a realistic environment. 🚀
