We'll help you prepare for interview questions and present you with 10 typical ones.

A web development interview can be nerve-wracking—especially if you don't know what to expect. But with the right preparation and a solid web development course, you can appear confident and score points. Here are 10 typical questions you might encounter in a web developer interview—and how to best prepare for them.

1. What programming languages do you know?

This is about testing your technical foundation. The classics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python. Use the opportunity to highlight your practical experience—ideally from projects completed as part of a web development bootcamp.

2. What projects have you worked on?

Interviewers want to see how you apply your knowledge. Briefly explain one or two specific projects: What was your role? What technologies did you use? What did you learn from them?

3. How did you handle technical challenges?

Your problem-solving approach counts here. Explain how you dealt with bugs, time pressure, or new technologies. An example from your Full Stack Developer course or a project assignment is worth its weight in gold here.

4. Which frameworks and tools do you regularly use?

You should be familiar with common tools like Bootstrap, Tailwind CSS, React, or Git. Show that you not only know how they work, but have also used them practically.

5. How do you approach planning a new project?

A structured approach is important: research, requirements analysis, design, development, testing – describe your personal workflow. This is where you can demonstrate that you don't just "code away," but work methodically.

6. How do you work in a team?

Web development is teamwork. Share stories from your collaboration on projects, for example, during a bootcamp. How did you implement feedback? How did you assign tasks?

7. Do you have experience with project management tools?

Tools like Trello, Jira, or GitHub Projects are standard. Describe how you used them for organization, task allocation, or documentation – this demonstrates your professionalism.

8. How do you stay up to date with the latest technology?

Web technologies are evolving rapidly. Show that you're continuously learning – through blogs, YouTube, webinars, or online courses. Perhaps you've already explored topics like AI, cloud computing, or Web3?

9. What are your long-term career goals?

Recruiters want to know if you're motivated and ready to develop. Be honest about your ambitions—whether you want to become a full-stack developer, specialize in front-end development, or perhaps develop products yourself later.

10. Why did you choose web development?

This question focuses on your motivation. Show what excites you: creative work, problem-solving, technology—and how your training (e.g., at neue fische) has prepared you.

Conclusion: Preparation is everything

With a practical web development course, you'll be optimally prepared for typical interview questions—from the first "hello" to salary negotiations. Practice your answers, simulate interviews, and use real projects to showcase your strengths. This will increase your chances of being a complete success in the next interview.
