Winner of the XING New Work Award 2019

We are thrilled to announce that our founder and CEO Dalia Das was awarded the XING New Work Award 2019 at the Elbphilharmonie Concert Hall. This year, more than 200 companies, teams and individuals applied for the coveted award - a record number of participants! This is the sixth time XING has honored innovative ideas that enrich the working world of tomorrow. In addition to Dalia, Peter-Georg Lutsch and Georg Gasteiger were also honored in the "New Worker" category at the New Work Experience 2019. A jury of experts had drawn up a shortlist from all the applications, from which the winners were then chosen in a user vote.

New Work needs New Education

This year, the "New Worker" was awarded for the third time to exceptional minds in the New Work movement. Dalia Das and her bootcamp concept were honored because new work also needs new education: Tens of thousands of IT jobs in Germany are unfilled, the number of computer science students is falling, and only one-fifth of them are female. With "neue fische," we're taking remedial action! In three months, we train lateral entrants to become agile young digital professionals. We put motivation and potential above previous experience, teach in a project-oriented manner, and bring people closer to the dream of a digital future, regardless of their initial education. We actively network graduates with the job market and focus on diversity as an answer to the shortage of skilled workers.

Confirmation and incentive

"I feel very honored personally by the New Worker award. But I also see it as recognition for our entire team," says a delighted Dalia Das. 
"We train non-IT people to become digital specialists. We have obviously hit a nerve with this. People don't want to see digitization as a threat, but as an opportunity. To have convinced in the nationwide user voting is a huge incentive for us. We will continue to rapidly expand our bootcamp offering and our partner network - because for us, the connection counts more than the conclusion! Many thanks to all!
