Further education and development of digital skills are more important than ever
Hamburg, 30.04.2020 - Gruner + Jahr strengthen their employees and launch further training offers with tech bootcamp provider neuefische - School and Pool for Digital Talent.
The new cooperation emerges from the existing partnership for the recruitment of IT talent, which was already launched in the summer of 2019, and through which young IT talent from the areas of web/app development and data science have been continuously recruited to join the renowned publishing house.
Stefan Waschatz, Head of Human Resources at Gruner + Jahr: "We are delighted to be able to offer this training program. We already have been able to fish some exciting talent from the neue fische pool and are convinced of the quality of the training. The program our employees can apply to, if they are interested, is the advanced training to become a Data Scientist. This is a great opportunity for our employees, especially for those who want to reorient themselves."
"I am very pleased that Gruner + Jahr, as a leading publishing house in Europe and one of Hamburg's major employers, it is taking advantage of the opportunity presented by the crisis to train its employees. Now talented employees are also invited to join our open programs and jointly developed continuing education formats. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, we thus support the acquisition of key technical-digital skills that may even allow employees to move into a new role," says Dalia Das, founder of neuefische, which has already won the "New Work Award" for its innovative training concept.
