What is the Family Benefits Office?

The Family Benefits Office is an institution of the German state that is responsible for paying out child benefit, among other things. Its aim is to ease the financial burden on families. Child benefit is a central support that helps to reduce the costs of raising children. Parents in Germany can claim this benefit for their children until they reach the age of majority and even beyond under certain conditions.
